PTFE Evaporating Dish, Low Form
Virgin PTFE construction with smooth interior finish. Low form geometry improves evaporation rate and simplifies recovery of the dried residue.
Material Characteristics
- Material:Virgin PTFE
- Interior finish:Smooth, non-stick
- Maximum temperature:280 °C
- Chemical resistance:Inert to concentrated acids, bases, organic solvents and HF
Typical Applications
Solvent evaporation on water baths, digestions with aggressive acids, low-temperature ashing and sample preparation for gravimetric analysis. Routinely used in analytical chemistry, geochemistry, environmental monitoring and materials testing laboratories.
PTFE is the material of choice wherever HF is involved — glass and porcelain offer no resistance to hydrofluoric acid attack.
Practical Advantages
- Non-stick surface — dried residue lifts away cleanly, with no sample loss.
- Non-porous — does not absorb sample or contaminants.
- Resistant to the majority of standard laboratory reagents.
- Low form — high surface-to-volume ratio for faster evaporation.
Technical Data
- Material:Virgin PTFE
- Form:Low
- Maximum working temperature:280 °C
- Interior finish:Smooth
